7 Quotes from The Young Elites by Marie Lu

" They think they can keep me out, but it does not matter how many locks they hang at the entrance. There is always another door."  "It is pointless to believe what you see, if you only see what you believe." " Once upon a winter I met a man in the woods  The man beckoned me over To see a satchel of goods He offered three wishes I asked for beauty, love, riches And he froze me in stone where I stood." Powerful Quotes from Five Feet Apart by Racheal Lippincott

"Our best defense is distance. Six feet is the golden rule," she says, before bending over to pick up a pool cue from next to her bed. " This is five feet. Five. Feet." . . .       She holds up the pool cue defiantly, fighting for every one of us. " I'm stealing three hundred and four point eight millimeters. Twelve whole inches. One freaking foot of space, distance, length" . . .       "Cystic fibrosis will steal no more from me. From now on. I am the thief." If I'm going to die, I'd like to actually live first. - Will To be fair, though, anything can be optional if you're creative enough. - Will "Okay, okay. I'd like to travel the world and really get to see it, you know? Not just the inside of hospitals." He looks back down and keeps sketching. "They're kind of all the same. Same generic rooms. Same tile floors. Same sterile smell. I've been everywhere without actually seeing...

A Discussion on Love (Talk 1: perspectives)

Love? What is this thing that people have written about, sang about, talked about, and experienced? Is it an emotion or a feeling? An action?  Is it a phenomenon? What is this thing that everyone wants, but doesn't actually know what it is?  Let's face it: we hear people all the time saying that love is the remedy to the world's problems blah blah blah etc. Yet, with all preaching we don't even know what we need; we don't know what love is. I think we once knew what it was, but got lost in all the commotion. We don't take time to understand what it is; we just regurgitate what somebody else says until it spirals beyond control, and we get caught up in our own mess; in our own lies. Wow, that was depressing. Anyway, I digress. So, on to the point, what is love? Personally, I think that pure, real, true love is out of human reach. I know what some of you are thinking, and you don't have to agree with me. So, chill out. Anyway, I believe this because I look aro...
