Bio - John Green

Age group: Young Adult Fiction Genre: Coming-of-Age, Romance, Life and Relationships     (link to his website ⇾) John Green is an American novelist, who The New York Times has described other books as "Greenlit" and book bloggers call the boost in sales from something seemingly trivial like a random social media endorsement "The John Green Effect".            He has written multiple books. His best known work is probably The Fault in Our Stars, which was published in 2012 and was turned into a movie in 2014 starring Shaliene Woodly and Ansel Elgort.       His debut novel was Looking for Alaska (2005), the film rights were bought by Paramount and they hired Josh Schwartz to write and direct the movie. Bio - Marie Lu

age group: young adult fiction  Genre: dystopian, fantasy, romance, action                       (link to her website ⇾)  Marie Lu is an American novelist. The New York Times  has deemed her a "hit factory". She is best known for her dystopian, militarized series, the  Legend series, which was published in 2011 (in order: Legend, Prodigy, 2013 , Champion, 2013 ) (BTW, this series is awesome. And, yes, it needed to be stated). The film and television rights have been acquired by BCDF pictures with Joseph Muszynski, who was hired to write the script. There is no news about a film, though. She has also written multiple books related to this series, which consists of Life Before Legend (novella #0.5), 2013, Life After Legend  (novella #3.5), 2017, and Life After Legend  (novella #3.6), 2018. Bio - Rick Riordan

Genre : Fantasy, Detective Fiction, Mythology Age group : Adult, mostly Intermediate               (link to his website⇾)  Rick Riordan is an american novelist. The New York Times  has deemed him "storyteller of the gods" . He has written several series. The most well known is probably, one of his intermediate and best-selling series,  Percy Jackson and the Olympians , which is based on Greek mythology . The first book ( The Lightning Thief)  was originally published in 2005. The first book was followed by four others (in order; The Sea of Monsters, 2006 , The Titan's Curse, 2007 , The Battle of the Labyrinth, 2008 ) and the last, but certainly not the least The Last Olympian, which was published in 2009. Twentieth-century Fox actually bought the film rights, and turned the first two Percy Jackson books   into movies (the books are way better).
